Having started as a Non-life insurance company after acquisition of People’s Insurance Company in May 5, 2009, IC Group has become an active player on the medical insurance field.
The company was actively involved in constructing/refurbishing hospitals in Georgia in 2010-2012. Today the group represents the 3rd largest healthcare facilities network in Georgia, covering 7 regions: Khashuri, Bolnisi, Ambrolauri, Mestia, Oni, Dmanisi, Racha-Lechkhumi.
In 2011, IC Group moved to a new headquarters located in Mosashvili Street and has launched development of retail services and distribution networks. The company actively contributes to the establishment of Legal framework for insurance activities in Georgia. Being the member of Georgian Insurance Association, Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and one of the founders of the Insurance Development Union IC Group takes a leading role in the elaborating of the law on Mandatory Motor Third Party liability Insurance.
IC Group involvement in the drafting the law on Agricultural Insurance Subsidies resulted in the adoption of the Pilot Agricultural Insurance Subsidies Project by government ordinance # 1462 on 19 August of 2014.
The project started on 1st September2014, five leading Georgian insurance companies are beneficiaries of the subsidies, among which - IC group.
IC Group is permanently involved in attracting and keeping market professionals as well as young success motivated staff. There is about 120 high qualified staff in the company, some of them with more than 18 years’ experience in insurance.
